Vintage (1996) Playful Patterns Design Activity #2930 from Discovery Toys is a great progressive learning activity with over 30 pattern cards that can be built using the foam shapes.
Using this game in therapy can build skills including color recognition, basic shape recognition, counting and sorting, basic puzzle play, fine motor skills, and progressive learning as the puzzles get more complex. Can be used by speech pathologist for vocabulary introducing ideas such as Next, Above, Below, On top of, underneath, etc. This pre-used game includes 100 (of 132) pieces in Red, Yellow, Purple, Blue, Green, and Orange foam shapes, 20 Double-sided Cards with 34 patterns, and Directions. Directions included in English, Spanish, and French. The patterns are intentionally left white, allowing children to use their own imagination and choose their own colors. This game can be used by occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and special education teachers.
